Submitting an application for an eKasa cash register requires having access to the portal www.financnasprava.sk.

You can request a code for the eKasa cash register on the Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic website electronically via the financnasprava.sk portal. The procedure is as follows:

1. Logging in to the Financial Administration portal

  • Click on Login (in the upper right corner)

  • Log in via Identifier and password, eID (electronic ID card) or Qualified electronic signature (KEP)

2. Submitting a request for a cash register code

  1. After logging in, go to the Forms Catalog section.

  2. Select the option Cash register e-kasa client > Assign cash register code e-kasa client.

  3. Find the eKasa Cash Register Code Request form.

  4. Fill in the required information:

The following information must be filled in the application:

  • Cash register type:

    • ORP (online cash register)

  • Identifikačné údaje žiadateľa (IČO, DIČ, IČ DPH – if you are a VAT payer).

  • Business address (name and address of the business in the case of a brick-and-mortar operation; if it is an ambulatory sale, check the "portable cash register" checkbox and do not fill in the address of the operation)..

  • SK-NACE code (in which industry and for which sales the cash register will be used, select from the dropdown)

  • Contact information (phone, e-mail).

Check the filled in data and click on the button on the left "Check".

4. Signing and submitting the form

  • After completing the form, you must sign it electronically by clicking the "Sign" button:

    • If you use a KEP (Qualified Electronic Signature), sign the form via the eID application.

    • If you do not have KEP, sending is possible via authorization in eServices (depends on account settings).

  • After signing, click "Submit" for processing and then confirm this submission in the modal window.

5. Code assignment and next steps

After processing your application, the Financial Administration will assign you an eKasa cash register code. The processing of your application usually takes 24 hours from the time you submit your application.

The Financial Administration will not send you any notification or email about the assignment of a cash register code. The cash register will simply appear in the eKasa zone section of the Financial Administration.
