Adding a new meal

You can add a new dish by clicking the New meal button on the Menu subpage.

Then, on the New meals page, fill in all the necessary information about the meal and click on Save meal button.

Setting meal parameters

You can set the following descriptions and parameters for the meal:

  • Category - start typing category name and you can choose from already prepared categories in dropdown, prefer these categories before creating your own, as these categories work together when filtering customers according to the type of meal in the Eatster mobile applications.

If you need to create a new category, follow the instructions here.

  • Send to the KDS (kitchen display) - it is possible to set when eating so that it is not necessary to send it to the kitchen displays

    • Yes to all - send to all kitchen displays

    • Do not sent - do not send to kitchen displays

    • own names of kitchen displays - you can add your own specific kitchen display names. When you choose a specific own kitchen display, this food is sent only to this display and nowhere else

  • Meal characteristics - select from the listed parameters for better filtering in Eatster applications. For example you can mark if food is spicy, vegan even or vegetarian. More characteristics are allowed.

  • Name - the name of the meal, is required

  • Barcode - EAN barcode

  • Price with TAX (€) - the final price that will be displayed to the customer

  • Profit (€) - option to set the amount of profit for individual transactions, after filling in it shows profitability in reports

  • Tax options (%) - option to set the amount of tax for Eat here or To go, Tax is subsequently applied automatically during the initial selection. The field is displayed only if you have selected that the company is a VAT payer in the invoicing data settings.

  • Weight - product weight or volume. Available units are gram (g), liter (l) or piece (ks).

  • Allergens - by clicking on the name of the allergen, the given allergen will be marked and displayed when eating

  • Ingredients - the ingredients are displayed when ordering a cloudy meal. We recommend separating individual ingredient with commas. When creating an order, it allows the customer to remove unwanted ingredients from the meal (for example, remove a tomato or cucumber)

  • Description

  • Price of the package - the packaging fee is the price of the packaging for take-away packaging. The packaging fee is automatically added if the customer or eKasa operator chooses the Self-delivery method. The packaging fee is charged with 20% VAT, here you enter the final price for the customer, i.e. with VAT.

If the packaging is free, leave the field blank.

  • Deposit - deposit for returnable packaging (for example, we set €0.15 for plastic bottles, then we lower the final price of the drink with packaging by €0.15, as the price of the deposit is automatically added to the price of the drink)

  • Picture - picture of the product, we recommend a square shape of the picture in a 1:1 aspect ratio. The size is arbitrary, maximum 500x500px. Supported image formats are JPG, JPEG and PNG.

  • Assigning lists to meal - the option to set supplements and side dishes to food, adding the option to buy a drink and similar additional products
