Written by Eatster support

Accessing the Orders Section

You can find the Orders section in the left sidebar menu of your Eatster Admin panel. Navigate to admin.eatster.app, log in, select your restaurant, and click on Orders in the sidebar.

Switching Views

The Orders section offers two main views to help you manage your orders efficiently:

  • Table View – A compact overview of all orders in a table format, ideal for quick scanning and filtering.

  • Detailed View – A card-based layout (similar to a Kitchen Display System) for managing order flow in real time.

You can switch between views using the toggle at the top of the Orders page.

Managing Order Visibility

At the top of the Orders section, you can toggle the acceptance of Orders and Services on or off. This controls whether your restaurant is currently accepting new orders from customers.

  • Orders ON – Your restaurant is visible and accepting orders from all active channels (web, kiosk, mobile app).

  • Orders OFF – New orders are temporarily paused. Useful during peak hours or when the kitchen is overloaded.

  • Services ON/OFF – Controls table service ordering separately.

Table View

The table view displays all orders in a structured grid with the following columns:

  • Order ID – Unique identifier for each order

  • Date – When the order was placed

  • Customer Name – Name of the customer who placed the order

  • Pickup / Delivery Time – Scheduled time for pickup or delivery

  • Price – Total order amount

  • Status – Current state of the order

  • Info – Action button to view order details

Order Statuses

Each order can be in one of the following states:

  • New – The order has just been received and awaits confirmation.

  • Preparing – The order is being prepared in the kitchen.

  • Done – The order is ready for pickup or delivery.

  • Cancelled – The order has been cancelled.

  • Refunded – The payment for this order has been refunded to the customer.

Changing Order Status

You can update the status of an order directly in the table by clicking on the status badge. A dropdown will appear allowing you to select the new status. This makes it easy to manage order flow without opening each order individually.

Viewing Order Details and History

To view the full details of any order:

  1. Find the order in the table.

  2. Click the info button at the end of the row.

  3. A side panel will open on the right side of your screen.

The detail panel displays all order information in read-only mode, including:

  • Complete list of ordered items with quantities and prices

  • Customer information

  • Payment method used

  • Order type (eat-in, to-go, drive-in, room service, train, stadium)

  • Pickup/delivery details (time, location, table number, carriage/seat for trains, sector/row/seat for stadiums)

  • Full order history with timestamps showing every status change

Downloading an Invoice

To download or view the invoice (receipt) for a specific order:

  1. Open the order detail panel by clicking the info button on the order row.

  2. In the detail panel, click the Download Invoice button.

  3. The invoice will be generated as a PDF and downloaded to your device.

The invoice contains the official fiscal receipt with all required tax information.

Detailed View (KDS Mode)

The Detailed view presents orders as individual cards, similar to a Kitchen Display System. This view is ideal for:

  • Real-time order management during service

  • Quick status updates by tapping action buttons on each card

  • Filtering between New and Picked Up orders

Each order card shows the order contents, customer name, order type, and action buttons to move the order to the next status (e.g., mark as Done, Picked Up) or to refund the order.

Filtering Orders

Both views support filtering to help you find specific orders quickly. You can filter by:

  • Order status (New, Preparing, Done, Cancelled, Refunded)

  • Date range

  • Order type

Exporting Orders

In the Table view, you can export your order data. The export respects any currently applied filters, so you can export exactly the subset of orders you need (e.g., all orders from last week, or only refunded orders).
